BMW 4 SERIES PERFORMANCE
Every new BMW 4 Series is incredibly powerful thanks to the BMW TwinPower Turbo engines. The BMW 430i Coupe, BMW 430i Gran Coupe, and BMW 430i Convertible models, including their xDrive variants, feature a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline-four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The BMW 4 Series 430i xDrive Coupe can go from zero to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.
The BMW M440i Coupe, BMW M440i Gran Coupe, and BMW M440i Convertible – once again, including their xDrive iterations – offer a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline-six-cylinder engine with the same 48-volt mild-hybrid architecture, generating 386 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. The quickest 0-60 mph time with this engine is 4.2 seconds, achievable in the BMW 4 Series M440i xDrive Coupe.
The BMW M4 models also arrive with 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline-six-cylinder engines, but they're tuned to different performance levels, depending on the model you select. Starting things off, the BMW M4 Coupe puts out a whopping 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque to race to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. This model also comes standard with a manual transmission designed for the most demanding driving enthusiasts.
The BMW M4 Competition Coupe kicks things up a notch with 503 horsepower and a 3.8-second 0-60 mph time. However, the BMW M4 Competition xDrive Convertible and BMW M4 Competition xDrive Coupe represent the pinnacle of BMW 4 Series performance. Both make 523 horsepower; the former can hit its 60 mph mark in 3.6 seconds, while the latter does it in astonishingly quick fashion: 3.4 seconds.
